BLIND FOOTBALL

In PRERNA’14, Gujarat witnessed for the first time in history a sport showing how challenges are beaten--BLIND FOOTBALL.

This glorious sport was played by a team from Society for Rehabilitation of Visually Challenged(SRVC), Kerala, Runners Up at the 8th IBSA Blind Football Championships, 13th to 18th May 2013 v/s the equally competitive team from St. Xavier’s Resource Centre for Visually Challenged(XRCVC), Mumbai. The team from SRVC, Kochi(Kerala) was guided by Mr. Sunil Mathew and the team from XRCVC, Mumbai was led by their sports director Mr. Thomos. Further, the splendid sport of Blind Football, played for the first time in Gujarat was conducted by the sports co-ordinator of Indian Blind Sports Association(IBSA), Mr. David.
