About Us

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”

PRERNA was set in motion 9 years ago with the ambition of spotlighting the
talents of the differently-abled and now entering its 10th splendid year, its metamorphosis into a Nationally Recognised Social Event has been a beautiful journey.

Upholding its legacy, PRERNA returns this year to illuminate the lives of the differently abled with a vow to be their guiding light, their ray of hope, their brightest  sunshine  and  help  them  deliver  to  the  best  of their abilities not withstanding the DISABILITY.

Mythology

Mythology is a vital feature of every culture around the world. Myth, in broad sense, can refer to any traditional story, a popular misconception or an imaginary entity. Most civilizations had more fiction than they did real history. Since years man has portrayed the GODS of their culture as the supreme beings - flawless and almighty.

But in the present age there a few people, who couldn’t have a perfect physique or matchless existence but with their stalwart willpower and use of their abilities, they were able to achieve a status of being phenomenal. These extraordinary people had some quality right from their birth that enabled them to achieve a unique status in the world thereby debunking the myths that man had since adhered to his frame of mind.

Mascot

In PRERNA’11, we introduced the PENGUIN as our official mascot. It was chosen bearing in mind its many qualities of strength, resilience and an ability to survive in most hostile situations.

The PRERNA MASCOT symbolizes the same sense of hidden potential as that in the specially abled. Fragile from outside but tough from inside, it reflects encouragement and inspiration in every order.
